COVID-19/Cold Symptoms

If you are having cold symptoms, please consider rescheduling your lesson for an alternate time. If you have active cold symptoms and would like to attend your lesson, a mask is required. While it may be ‘just a cold’ to you, other people using the space may be more seriously affected by illnesses. Let’s be thoughtful of each other and take the rest time our bodies need for recovery.

GROUP CLASSES

You must preregister by email or phone for a group class. In-person classes are limited to 15 students for beginners and intermediates and to 10 for advanced classes. Classes need a minimum of 4 people to run. If a space in a class sells out, you will placed on the wait list and notified if a space becomes available. Payment for a class must be received by the date of the first class. You may pay online or in person at the first class. If payment is not received at the end of the first class, your spot will be given to the next person on the wait list. Please attend your classes! You will not receive a refund for missed classes.

Online classes are limited to 15 or less based on the instructor’s ability to facilitate the class needs online and teach simultaneously. Please download the Zoom app on your device or computer and let the teacher unmute you. It makes class run much more smoothly. If your child is taking lessons online, please be nearby should they need help with technology. It is not expected that you attend the entire lesson.

You will be charged for a lessons cancelled within 24 hours of your appointment, and for lessons that you forget. That being said, we understand that kids get sick. If you or your child should fall sick on the day of your lesson and miss the 24-hour window, we will make every attempt to reschedule your lesson if you notify your teacher. However, if you know you have an event coming up (baseball tournament, birthday party, grandma in town, SATs), please try to reschedule your lesson the week prior. MEDICAL CONCERNS

During the pandemic, we will continue to keep our students and faculty safe by conducting lessons online. When it is feasible for in-person lessons resume outdoors, students and parents consent to these lessons at their own risk.

In “normal times” teachers will make every effort to avoid spreading food and other allergens, but we cannot control for every other student walking in the door. As a courtesy to other students, please wash your hands and face if consuming tree nut or peanut products prior to class and refrain from consuming those items during breaks. If you are the parent or guardian of a minor that may require the administration of glucose tablets or juice, Epinephrine, or Benadryl, you must accompany that person for the duration of their lesson, and be immediately available to provide and administer these items should the need arise.
