Building on on 20 years of student success in Western NY and beyond, Pittsburgh’s North Hills String Studio was founded in 2010 to foster growth in the local musical community. We began by offering private lessons and a relaxed, home concert atmosphere for performances. What started with 2 hours a week of neighborhood violin instruction evolved into a large group of student musicians spanning the orchestral strings, piano, and ukulele. We currently serve 30 private students and up to 60 small group students locally every semester.

Put simply, our goal is to honor and develop the creative musician that exists in everyone in the most encouraging and engaging environment possible.
